The United States Trustee Program has posted new “median family income by family size” figures for bankruptcy cases filed on or after March 15, 2009.
The new median income for Oklahoma households is:
- $38,244 (1 person household)
- $51,322 (2 person household)
- $54,494 (3 person household)
- $62,049 (4 person household)
*Add $6,900 for each individual in the household over 4.
A person filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy presumably passes the Means Test if his/her household income is below these levels. A person filing Chapter 13 bankruptcy applies their actual, reasonable living expenses against these income levels.
