Oklahoma’s February home foreclosures were up 5.9 percent from January. However, February’s total was down 42.5 percent from February 2008.
Approximately 1,030 foreclosure filings were made last month in Oklahoma, or one for every 1,576 homes, according to real estate data service RealtyTrac. Oklahoma’s performance dropped the state to the 34th highest rate of foreclosure in the nation.
The national foreclosure rate is now one for every 440 households. Nevada again has the highest rate of foreclosure in the nation, followed by Arizona and California.
