Foreclosures in Oklahoma increased slightly from March to April though they’re well below last year’s levels.
A total of 1,177 foreclosures were filed in the state in April according to real estate data service RealtyTrac. That’s 5.18 percent above March and 30.76 percent below April 2008.
The month’s foreclosure rate of one filing for every 1,379 homes gave Oklahoma the 34th-highest rate in the nation for the second month in a row.
Nevada again topped the nation with a foreclosure rate of one for every 68 homes, followed by Florida, California, Arizona and Idaho.
